Valley Center Wrestling Club

 Discipline Policy

Our club is judged by its members, therefore, the behavior of our members and their families is a matter of great importance.

Courtesy and respect are required from the wrestlers and the members of their families! Such respect and courtesy may help you on a “close call” during a match. If there are any differences of opinions with officials, your coach will handle the situation. We NEVER want our wrestlers or parents to argue with an official or another coach. Please be cooperative at all times. Your behavior in the practice room, the classroom and at tournaments will reflect upon your character and the sport of wrestling.

Valley Center Wrestling Club has a reputation of a “well mannered but tough” wrestling club. We like that reputation! Protect our image by engaging in appropriate behavior at all times. If you create trouble or controversy, you will discredit yourself, the team and the sport of wresting in general.

Horseplay, rowdiness, bigotry, boisterous and destructive behavior have no place on any athletic team. Such behavior causes dissension within the team, wastes needed time and energy and interferes with the mental concentration that is necessary for you to perform to your full potential and attain your goals.

IF YOU VIOLATE THE DISCIPLINE POLICY, THE FOLLOWING ACTION WILL BE TAKEN:

q Warning Offence  - The wrestler will be given a verbal warning.

q       First Offence – 1 week suspension from practice and tournaments.

q       Second Offence – 1 week suspension from club and/or dismissal from the club if determined by the Board.

q       Third Offence – Automatic dismissal from the club.

There are no refunds of any fees when a suspension or dismissal from the club takes place.

We have read the discipline policy and agree to adhere by its guidelines.
